I’m a historian of American media, currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Cinema Studies at New York University. I hold a Ph.D. in American Studies and Film & Media Studies from Yale University, an M.A. in American Studies with a Public Humanities concentration from Yale University, and a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College.
My academic interests include: postwar radio, television, and film; media circulation and reception; podcasting and sound studies; and U.S. cultural history.
My personal interests include: advice literature, Call the Midwife, Tex-Mex, and Frank Sinatra.
